When Graham Aldis discovered he was spending more and more time travelling great distances in search of a good dinner served well, he realised that good restaurants were lacking nearby his home in Writtle. So Graham set about the creation of 'Graham's on the Green'.

With a passion for great food and service the restaurant was an overnight success and it wasn't too long until the restaurant's reputation spread attracting loyal diners from afar, which spurred Graham to open at The Nags Head, Morton Nr Ongar and soon The Duke of York, South Green. Graham's notoriety spread to other good restaurants which has attracted talented staff to join the team.

Grahams latest acquistion is the Duke of York, Southend Road, South Green, Billericay. Graham said "We are all very excited about this new venture and are much looking forward to welcoming everybody to The Duke of York very soon".
