Barge Inn Battlesbridge, The

The Barge Inn is a traditional country pub located at the centre of the Battlebridge famous Antique Centre. Selling good wines, well kept cask ales and a wide choice of lagers all complimented by fantastic food produced with care and attention using only the freshest ingredients sourced locally whenever possible, our beef is locally reared in nearby Hullbridge, our free range pork from Blythburgh, Suffolk, our lamb is British and fresh fish delivered daily. Our menu changes often to reflect locally and seasonally available ingredients. In the summer months our clients enjoy our riverside setting and often prefer to drink and dine outside in the sun and fresh-air relaxing as they watch the world go by. In winter, enjoy the warmth and comfort of our traditional pub with open log fires and farmhouse furnishings that create a relaxing atmosphere to enjoy a good Ale and great comfort food.

Here at The Barge we also offer a Private Dining Room available for private functions and events with dining up to 14 people, we take great pride in our Gastro Menu which features traditional pub classics such as fresh deep-fried beer battered cod and hand cut chips. Our bar menu is also available at lunchtimes offering a selection of sandwiches and lighter-bite meals.

The company is owned by David Ripo and Andy Wagstaff that combined have many years experience of operating fine pubs, hotels and restaurants and whom the group aims to achieve the highest standards to ensure that every client enjoys a truly rewarding experience each and every time they visit.
