Colchester Zoo is one of the finest zoo's in Europe with over 270 rare species many part of international breeding programmes; all living in 60 acres of beautiful parkland.

Don't miss "Orangutan Forest" and "Playa Patagonia" with its 24 metre tunnel under the water for visitors to view sea lions swimming above their heads. Then, there's "Spirit of Africa", the Elephant Kingdom, which houses the zoo's herd of African elephants and "Kingdom of the Wild" with the giraffes, rhino, zebra and ostrich - just like being on safari!

Get closer to the animals with up to 50 daily displays including the amazing opportunity to feed the elephants or giraffes yourself, the Wild About Animals Theatre and the Discovery Centre where you can handle bugs and snakes.
