We are one or two time's a year visitors to the George. We started off with a drink in the cosy, and busy bar. They were not offering their A la Carte menu on the last evening we visited, but the 3 course set menu for £15 offered some good interesting choices anyway (goats cheese panacotta, stilton and pear salad amongst the starters, salmon, liver and chicken choices amongst the mains and 3 or 4 delicious dessert choices). We were allowed to use our 25% food vouchers, so the value was amazing!
